Superintendent

Job description
General Building/Civil Engineering General Contractor is seeking to hire a Construction Superintendent experienced in Public Works Contracts. We are seeking superintendent who has extensive experience with Job Order Contracting and managing job sites single dollar contracts ranging from $1million to $5million (above is a plus). The qualified superintendent must know how to operate construction scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee operations of construction site from planning to completion
- Responsible for daily scheduling – maintaining and submitting daily reports
- Create look ahead schedules
- Ensuring site safety and compliance with labor and subcontractors
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Identifies and procures materials and equipment for all projects
- Maintain on-site relationships with clients, facility representatives, and subcontractors
- Manage inspection schedules
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers

Skills and Qualifications:
- ​Must be able to manage on-site crew, vendors, and subcontractors

- ​Must be able to read plans, specifications, survey markings, and civil sheets

- ​Must be able to prioritize trades and scope of work

- ​Must be able to multi-task – time management to ensure deadlines are met on time

- ​Must be able to operate construction scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera, Sage Timberline

- ​Must be able to work with computers – Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel

Project Engineers

Job Responsibilities:
Provide project engineering services by assisting project managers and/or superintendents in field support to help ensure contract compliance, quality control, and maintenance of the project site. Entry-level engineers will ensure projects comply with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.

Job Duties:
Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors and/or directing the work of all trades assigned to a construction work site, review project drawings, specifications, submittals and change orders, implement project schedules including each task associated with project completion, and document technical, financial and personnel aspects of each project and phase of each project. Entry-level project engineer will be responsible for continuous updating and accurate generations of as-built documents and contract documents.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management, Construction Technology. Knowledge of engineering principles, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel, Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings, and Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

***Experience/Background in civil engineering, building construction, and construction management.

Project Manager

Job description
General Building General Contractor is seeking to hire a Construction Project Manager experienced in Public Works Contracts. We are seeking Project Managers who has extensive experience with Job Order Contracting and managing single dollar contracts ranging from $1million to $5million (above is a plus). The qualified Project Manager must know how to operate eGordian and construction scheduling soft wares such as Microsoft Project and Primavera.


Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- ​Manage and control time, cost, quality of construction projects

- ​Create estimates and price proposals

- ​Overlook submittals, RFIs, scheduling and budget

- ​Create and maintain (update) budget at the beginning and during construction.

- ​Put optimum effort to obtain profit margin while meeting schedules and ensuring quality control

- ​Plan and coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and various labor unions

- ​Negotiate contracts with owners and vendors to reach profitable agreements

- ​Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish while staying in planned budget

- ​Establish teamwork and communication with superintendent

- ​Monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes and labor compliance

- ​Evaluate progress and prepare detailed project manager report (job cost report)

- ​Ensure project completes on time and according to schedule

- ​Ability to troubleshoot in case of emergency or unexpected/unforeseen conditions and or situations.

Skills and Qualifications:
- ​Building proposals and estimates through eGordian and or other construction soft wares

- ​Minimum 5 years of experience as project manager

- ​Background and education in Construction Management (BS/BA in engineering, building science of relevant field is strongly preferred)

- ​Excellent communication with clients, vendors, superintendent and office administration

- ​Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- ​In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles

- ​Good knowledge of construction scheduling soft wares such as Microsoft Project and Primavera

- ​Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
